Founded in 2012 by International Award winning florist Matthew Landers, our Academy has grown from strength to strength and is well established as a premium Training organisation within Australia. We have a student focussed, outcomes based approach as we recognise that everyone learns differently and at different paces. We keep our learning fresh, functional and current to make sure you’re learning for the future with a strong focus on fundamental foundations, principles and elements of design. Our lecturers are at the top of their game and continue their learning to ensure we’re delivering the most expert advice and training every time.

In 2016, Matthew Landers Academy gained its first International Award, winning a Silver Medal at RHS Tatton Park (Manchester, United Kingdom). This coveted award was followed in 2017 by a Gold Medal at Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show. We’re incredibly proud to have given our best students these opportunities to participate in such elite competitions.

Location
Our studio is located in the vibrant inner-south suburb of East Victoria Park. A convenient 6kms/12 minute drive from the Perth City Centre.

Public Transport
We are located a short 10 minute walk from Oats Street Train Station and have a bus stop right outside our front door and directly across the road for your convenience.

Parking
There is an abundance of free parking within a short stroll of our Academy. At night, the area is well lit and very safe to move through.

Inside
Our classrooms are modern, student focused learning spaces. Our hospitality grade stainless steel benches are standing working height of 900mm and a 600mm stainless steel stool is also available should you wish to sit. The temperature fluctuates consistently between 16°C-22°C, you may wish to bring a cardigan if you get cold easily.

Classroom capacities
We have two classrooms, Our main classroom has a maximum class capacity of 24 (seated/standing at workbenches) and our intimate classroom has a capacity of 4 (seated/standing at workbenches), this is commonly used for Private Tuition and intimate classes, In our main classroom we also have a seminar capacity of 60 (seated, Theatre style) and Cocktail style 80 (Standing).
