January 2004, Matthew Landers bought his first store in Nedlands (Perth, Western Australia). Over the following years, this would grow to having multiple stores across Perth’s Western Suburbs.
In 2010, an accomplished and still young Matthew decided that he wanted to live overseas full-time and pursue other opportunities. It was decided to sell these stores, which still successfully operate today.
After returning to Australia in 2012, it was obvious that the gap remained for his iconic style and unique outlook on Floristry. Matthew decided to embark on his first “Matthew Landers” branded business.
In July 2012, Matthew opened a Private Training Provider “Matthew Landers Academy” and a retail Florist “Matthew Landers”, both in Victoria Park. In 2015, both businesses moved into our current home, a purpose built studio space in East Victoria Park housing our entire operation.
Matthew Landers is recognised as one of Australia’s leading Floral Designers.
After growing up in family business, Matthew wanted to be recognised as an individual in Floristry, at a competitive level. Since 1999, Matthew has won over 100 Floral Design competitions. Matthew has also undertaken international competition, including RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Since 2005, Matthew has spent extended periods overseas contracted by some of the world’s leading Luxury Fashion, Cosmetic and Hotel brands to style and create flowers, including some of the world’s largest A-list events.
Matthew is frequently consulted across Australia for Corporate Events, Weddings, Product Development and Tuition.
Matthew has also Demonstrated and conducted public and industry Workshops across the world.
