Semester 2 2025 Course Outline

If you’re ready to turn your passion for flowers into a career, this is the course that will take you there.

Our 20-week Industry Ready Course is a comprehensive, hands-on training program designed to prepare you for immediate entry into the floristry workforce — or to launch your own floral business with confidence.

This is not a traditional classroom experience. You’ll be trained in real-world design techniques and industry practices that reflect what it actually means to work as a florist today. From everyday commercial floristry to premium event work, you’ll gain the skills, speed, and creative insight that florists use on the job — every day.

Unlike many formal qualifications, our contemporary training plan is built around the realities of today’s floral industry. We don’t just teach technique — we build resilience, problem-solving, and the mindset required to thrive in a fast-paced, creative career.

No previous experience is required — we start at beginner level and progress quickly, with personalised support from experienced florists every step of the way. Past students have gone on to gain employment in leading studios, freelance with confidence, or launch their own businesses.

SEMESTER 2 2025 INTAKE
Saturdays 26th July 2025 – 13th December 2025

Cost: $3,900 per student, for the complete course. This includes all materials (fresh flowers, sundries, tuition, digital notes).
*except Excursion, required to purchase own materials.*
Payment: $1,250 Deposit and $265 paid every second lesson throughout the course or $3,900 if paid in full.
Location: Matthew Landers Academy
Time: Saturday – refer to Course Outline as there are two dates with double classes
Lecturer: All lecturers on rotation.
